After the 9/11 attacks, they spent a kajillion dollars rebuilding the Fulton Street subway stop where multiple lines converge.  It’s better lit, some of the walkways seem a bit wider, but it’s still more or less a maze to get from one line to another. On the plus side they added this very cool skylight in a big open space that does nothing to tie the subway lines together but will have retail.
