This is from an early morning excursion yesterday. It was really cold, but there were some nice shooting opportunities that made it worthwhile. I did regret not bringing my removable finger gloves. By the time I took this shot I had been out for nearly an hour and my hands hurt. It’s a rather obvious shot in some ways, with a frame of the Empire State Building through the Arch at Washington Square looking up Fifth Avenue. The time of day allowed me to get into what I think was the ideal position for the framing without fighting crowds, plus the early morning light was pretty sweet.
