Flipping a an infrared photograph from red to blue tones is easy. Getting those blue tones to a pleasing hue is hard, at least for me. I’m very pleased with the result here, but I do not think this particular mix would transfer well to most shots.

29 Jul 2011Thanks for all the positive feedback all. I agree with Chris that these tones would work on some city shots, especially those featuring glass and metal such as we have here. But I’m still not sure they would work on shots with trees, which usually look awesome in infrared, or building made of brick, stone etc. Some day I’ll give it a try and we’ll know.
