The October assignment for both my We35 group and the Explorers of the Frontier Fellowship was “Superstition.” I would have liked to highlight a particularly local superstition, but oddly could not think of one for New York City. So I chose to combine a pair of well-known childhood superstitions.

My family went on our annual apple picking trip on Sunday.  We’ve been doing it for many years since the girls were very little and we still enjoy it. Plus, they sell pies.
