This morning, for the second day in a row, I got up very early to shoot on Roosevelt Island, mostly along its shores. I’m not much for doing wildlife photography, but when I noticed this Roosevelt Island seagull sharing my view, I had to make a quick portrait. I attended both the undergraduate Columbia College and the School of Law in the early through mid-late 80s. When I visited the campus a few weeks ago, I saw this statute called the “Scholar’s Lion,” and was a bit befuddled because I did not remember...
