The EMP was founded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in 2000. It is in Seattle Center, in the shadow of the Space Needle and the monorail, which dates from the 1962 World’s Fair, officially the Century 21 Exposition. In case you cannot guess, the building is a Frank Gehry design, and like most of his works, it is a wonder to photograph.
