One of the challenges of shooting the sunrise over the water from a beach is to find multiple shots that are distinctive enough that you come away from the outing with more than one usable image.In this instance, there were cliffs, some boats, rocks on the beach and occasionally in the water, and of course the spot where the sun eventually appeared. For this shot I extended the lens a bit to focus on a pair of rocks in the water, with a buoy in the right distance. The beautiful colors of the sky and a bit of clouds do the rest of the work.
