Civil War Soldiers’ Monument (1869) – Green-Wood Cemetery

Civil War Monument, Green-Wood Cemetery

This is the Green-Wood Cemetery Civil War Soldiers’ Monument, erected by the City of New York to honor its dead as well as all 148,000 NYC residents who enlisted in the war effort. This shot, as well as three of the four detail shots below, were taken with  taken on a Fuji medium format GF670 rangefinder film camera, with Kodak Tri-X 400 Film. The fourth one was taken after the last shot on the roll with a Fuji digital X-E1 and made to mimic the look of the other camera. Care to guess which one? There are a few tells.

    1. How do you know? Did you click through and check the exif data?

  2. Mark – Yeah. I picked the image that I thought was from the X-E1 and then clicked the info button to find I was wrong and then to find what one was the X-E1 image.

  3. I think it’s the first one, but it’s just a guess.
