My friend Chris Nitz specializes in Toy photography, kind of like what you see above, except he has a lot more practice than me and has a better idea of what he’s doing. He also recently concluded a fun and successful  venture displaying and selling his work at GenCon last week.  I’ve tried toy photography occasionally before, and while I’m largely happy with the results, it’s also clear that between my idea and execution I sometimes fall short. So I decided both to beef up my arsenal a bit (i.e. buy more toys) and spend a week shooting and showing photos of toys.

Here is the first entry. I’ll maybe let it speak for itself, except to note that Minion Dave has a better idea of what to do with a doughnut that does Minion Phil.
