Eagle Warehouse

This is from the same morning and outing as all of the recent fog shots. It was till foggy but with no distance or horizon you cannot tell. This is the Eagle Warehouse building on Old Fulton Street in Brooklyn where I was lucky enough to live for about 4 years in the early 90s. It is a beautiful building with amazing views — you can see images I photographed from my windows when I lived there in this post and this one. The building sits on the location once occupied by a newspaper called The Brooklyn Eagle, where Walt Whitman was editor from 1846-48. When the newspaper moved somebody built a warehouse over the location in 1894 and named it after the newspaper. It was converted into apartments in 1980.
