Pink Peony Macro

This maintains my recent run of Monday Macros, all shot on a single weekend back in early May. I’ll need to come up with some more subjects if I am to maintain the series much longer. This is a pink peony that I sprayed with water just before shooting. The result is a true mishmash of focus and blur, including my favorite elements — a pair of water drops in the center top of the image, one in focus and one not.

Almost forgot, the latest round of our HDR collaboration is up at Silent G’s blog. This is a beautiful image and most of us tried to leave its natural beauty intact as we imposed our own touch on it.
