Outside In

I’d love to get fedback on this one. There was this hole in the wall, looking into another room. Oddly, this was the only such hole I noticed in the entire location that day. The problem is, there was not much of interest to look at through the hole, partly because interior walls and partitions inside the room prevented you from seeing all that much. So I tried to take the most interesting angle I could find, and played with focus and depth of field.

In the end I fluctuate between thinking it is quite pedestrian and admiring my inventiveness.

  1. Well Mark, I for one think it’s pretty inventive. The angle of view and composition draws my eye to the interior, then the pipe and finally the lower left, sharply focused area. Nice job!

  2. I tried one of these before myself, never processed it, started to but never finished it, maybe because it was the same, not sure if I liked it or not feeling. I like the detail and textures in this shot, makes you want to know what the rest of the room looks like.
