Expedition Everest

I’ve decided to break up my extended series of film shots of Coney Island and Grand Central with a week of digital images.

I spent a week in Walt Disney World in mid-February, and took a lot of pictures, although the vast majority were of and for family memories. I did grab this shot in the Animal Kingdom park one morning just after 7am during early Magic Hours. I was trailing my niece and daughter who were rushing to the Expedition Everest ride to get in a few runs before the big crowds arrived. While crossing the bridge from Discovery Island to the Asia section, I noticed how the ride’s mountain structure was set off against this amazing Florida morning sky. I had rented an Olympus E-P3 Micro 4/3s camera for the trip. It is capable of 5 shot bracketing (+-2, +-1, 0), and I rested my elbows on the bridge railing for stability while I fired off the shots.
