Parachute Jump

Way behind and preoccupied this morning, so I’m throwing this out with a quick explanation. Last night I tried scanning film negatives for the first time, and I had a fairly wide variety of film types to choose from, as I recently shot a variety of rolls, including regular color film, black and white film, and color slide film. In addition, some of the films needed to be push processed and one roll was cross processed (both of which I’ll explain in a latter post but should be easily defined for you with some quick web searching for those of you not familiar).

Trial and error yielded good results on color film, both slides and negatives, but I was disappointed with the cross process slide results and the black and white results. A little research of my own this morning helped me figure out some mistakes already, and when I get everything sorted I’ll put some comprehensive posts together.

This is one of the best results I got on a black and white scan. It is not what I hoped for but I happen to like its quirks, so I decided to go with it today.
