Another shot taken on the drive home from Syracuse on Thanksgiving weekend. We really could not have better timed the trip through New York City, cutting through parts of Manhattan, the Bronx, and Queens on our way home. This is in the South Bronx, at the tail end of the New York State Thruway and Major Deegan Expressway, and just before you take the approach to the Triboro Bridge. This was processed entirely in Aperture, with no Photoshop or plugins. Basically I used Levels to adjust the White Balance, lightened the shadows, and slightly punched up the saturation. It was finished with straighten and crop tool to fix some composition issues due to being taken from a moving car.
As it is Friday, that means my Friend the Toad’s weekly post of great photography-related links is up here at Light Stalking. Go check it out.
