Shoe Repair Neon

This shoe repair neon signage is right next door to the Dry Cleaner neon and iron gate shot I called Hardened Steel At The Dry Cleaners. I held this for a long time because I have been waffling as to what I think of it. I’m still not sure, but hey, when you publish daily you have to take some risks and sometimes that means putting out some items you are not sure of. I have certainly found that I have, at best, an inconsistent track record in predicting what folks respond to, so maybe you will love this. Or maybe you’ll agree with my rather “meh” assessment.

    1. Thanks to all for the input, including John. I mean how can I complain about a “meh” when that was my own assessment? Also good to see John getting active again, and hope to see some new images some day, too.

  1. I really want to see more of what is in the window. The gate adds a nice touch of what life is like today, but I do find it distracting. I do keep looking at the neon and tracing it with my eyes 🙂

  3. Hi!

I believe that this image was captured late night when the day was coming to an end. The sparkling neon light reminds me of the days when I used to return home late and used to see these neon lights at closed shops.

    Regards,
    Steve

  4. The colors are great, but really love your composition on this one.

  5. I like the choice to photograph through the gates
