Normally when I arrive in a city for a business trip after 10pm I think of nothing but bed, and maybe late night room service if I missed dinner. But this was Las Vegas and I did not have to be anywhere in the early morning so I grabbed my x100 and headed out to take a walk on the Strip.
And On A Completely Different But Important Topic
My friend Bob Lussier is running the Marine Corps Marathon this weekend, and fundraising for a charity to which he has a personal connection. The CPL Christopher G. Scherer Semper Fi Fund (Team Chris) was named for the Marine son of close friends of Bob’s who was killed in 2007 while serving in Iraq.
Team Chris’ mission is to provide personal comfort supplies to Marines serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and also helps fund the efforts of selected organizations that provide support to returning troops in need of services.
If you are inclined to Bob and this charity, you may donate here.
If you wish to read more about CPL Christopher G. Scherer and Team Chris, visit http://www.cplchris.com.
Bob’s post with this same information is here, and his first photographic tribute to CPL Christopher G. Scherer can be found here.

26 Oct 2011Thanks for the images. I will be in Vegas, for the first time, in several weeks and look forward to doing some night street photography. I had a feeling that there would be plenty going on well into the night (as is the case with New Orleans).

26 Oct 2011Nice series, Mark. The city that never sleeps also never leaves a photog without something interesting to capture. 😉
