This is the Queensboro Bridge, obviously at night, from a spot just north of the bridge on the Manhattan side. The bright, squat rectangular building on the opposite side is the terminal building for the Roosevelt Island Tram. Beyond the buildings you see on the far shore, which is Roosevelt Island and not Queens, is more of the East River and only then Queens itself.
This is another image that I shot using multiple brackets which turned out to be useful even though this is not processed as an HDR. This is made from the +3 exposure, and would not have been possible from a single shot at neutral exposure.
Repeat Announcement: I’m Taking Requests
As I first mentioned Monday and will repeat all week, I’ve decided to try something a bit interactive. I’m going to start taking requests. If there is a subject, scene or location in New York City or nearby that you would like me to photograph and post on the blog, go to this page and leave your idea in the comments. More details at that page. Please participate and also please spread the word.
