Fill ‘Er Up At The Silvercup

Another shot of the Silvercup sign. I think I’m going to keep shooting it until I get it perfect.

On a business note, I want to mention that B&H is offering a special offer on the E-PL2. The Olympus E-PL2 is a successor to one of my favorite cameras, the E-PL1. The deal is that you get the camera, plus 2 lenses, a 14-42mm and a 40-150mm, for $699, and free shipping. The E-PL2 is a micro-4.3s camera with a 2x crop factor sensor, so these lenses are the equivalent of a 28-84 and 80-300 on a full frame sensor camera.  Also part of the offer is that you can get $100 off the price of Adobe Lightroom when purchased together with this offer. Click on the link for all the details. The offer on the camera and lenses is good through April 23, the Lightroom tie-in is good through May 30. Did you get a tax refund this year, and are you looking for a way to treat yourself?

The E-PL1 is a great camera, and I used it for probably close to half of the shots in my Bus Stop and Crosswalk series.  The E-PL2 has some modest improvement over the E-PL1, and to get it, plus two lenses for this price is fantastic. Of course, if you do click the link and purchase, or if you use the B&H box on the right, I get a small commission at no extra cost to you.

UPDATE: Wayne makes an important point in the comments: B&H will be closed for Passover starting Monday April 18 through April 26.  They are also closed on every Saturday for the Sabbath, and they close at 2pm Eastern on Fridays for the same reason. This includes their web store which will not even accept orders. So if you do want to take advantage of this offer, your will have to act extremely fast today, OR order on Sunday, BUT, again because of Passover, Sunday orders must be placed by Noon Eastern to ship out before the holiday.  I believe they will continue to accept orders Sunday afternoon but those will not ship until after they return from Passover. Check the B&H website for all the details, which supersedes anything I write here in case I made a mistake.

  2. Contrary to the ugly green colored taxis we have in here… I love yellow ones. They look better; and your photo is a perfect example of why I like them.

  3. If anyone wants in on that B&H deal, don’t forget, they will be closed April 18-26, so better ACT NOW.
