It was 16º Fahrenheit this morning, and won’t go as high as freezing all day. Accordingly, I thought it a good time to publish the second in my warm summer sunset series. Taken in Ferry Point Park, August 2009, on a Nikon D40 with the Nikkor 18-200 VR lens, processed through Topaz Adjust and Topaz Detail.
I love this photo because it is about the last image I would have associated with the Bronx, or anywhere in the Northeast, for that matter. It has a much more tropical feel, but that is the Bronx, except for the Manhattan skyline in the far left background.
